Happy New Year

This year has been an amazing one which saw me visit Europe, start at new job which I love and even try surfing for the first time. In 2012 I'm looking forward to plenty more excitement both professionally and personally. Until the New Year arrives I'll be spending it with friends before heading down to the Mount for a few days soaking up the sun at the beach. Wishing you all a Happy New Year!

Christmas Table Decor

Every Christmas I'm in charge of decorating the table at my parents house. This year I decided to go for a green, white and silver theme - a change from last year's red and silver. I set the scene with an old white lace table cloth and matching napkins, tied with silver ribbon. Down the centre of the table I scattered old jam jars filled with white flowers and greenery. At each person's place setting was a silver Christmas crackers and paper cone filled with sweets. Here are a few images I used for inspiration this year...

What’s your Christmas wish?

This year I am looking forward to spending time with my family and in-laws at their homes in the country. I love waking up and looking out the window on lush green fields, which is such a lovely change from living in the concrete jungle of inner city Auckland. Since its summer here I'm also looking forward to spending time at the beach with family, opening presents and nothing beats mum's delicious Christmas pudding with berries and custard.

I hope you all have a lovely Christmas break!

What’s your Christmas wish?
I'm looking forward to spending quality time with my family and friends. I've often been guilty of being a workaholic this year, so I'm just grateful to have time this Christmas to spend with the people I care about.

What’s your Christmas wish?
For Christmas I would like a dwarf Pohutukawa, our native New Zealand Christmas tree. I just love the colour and seeing it reminds me of long summer days, chilling, camping, doing very little but hanging out with family and friends. A dwarf version because I wouldn't have anywhere to put it otherwise.

Today’s 16th day of Christmas wish comes from Cathy, who loves Antoni Gaudí’s amazing architecture works.

What’s your Christmas wish?

With Christmas falling on a Sunday this year I’d like to start the day in Barcelona, Spain in Antoni Gaudí’s Sagrada Família (the beautiful ceiling is seen above), for their Christmas morning church service. Then off to the Blue Mountains, Australia to have Christmas morning coffee with my 88-year-old mum and three sisters- one home from Africa for Christmas. All four of us sisters have not been together with mum forChristmas for 20 years!

Next we would fly over the Tasman to Dairy Flat, Auckland to our home for Christmas lunch with all but one of our family of 13. BBQ turkey followed by our family’s traditional Christmas play and then present opening.

The final destination of the day would be to fly to London for Christmas dinner with our son Reuben. And if it could be a London white Christmas evening that would be great.

Dreams are free but love is a reality so we will send our love to all our Children this Christmas.

I would love to unwrap a copy of Decade for Christmas. I’ve popped past Parson's Art Bookshop many times to flip through the pages of this amazing book on photography from the last decade and would love to have my own copy. While reading I would sip Earl Grey tea from the newly given Crown Lynn cups and contemplate heading down to the local beach with my Country Road beach bag for a dip!

What’s your Christmas wish?
Well I've already received a Horn sewing table - one of the best inventions I've seen in a while. It's so practical! But another wish is a backyard makeover. I'm thinking along the lines of lush lawns, maybe a swing and a lot of fruit trees. Also a pretty umbrella and a bunch of nice smelling flowers. But the highlight, which is probably the most attainable, would be a hammock (similar to the photo above). A nice cotton rope hammock for lounging in and reading while the kids play with water sounds perfect.

I'm a huge fan of experience gifts rather than physical ones. So an 'experience' could be dinner out somewhere, tickets to a show or concert, a day trip to Waiheke Island, a wine tasting, hiring a Ducati for a day...something along those lines. Something where you're spending time with the other person whilst doing something special or are somewhere special. Physical things break, get lost or remain unused, memories don't.

That I would waft calmly through work and other engagements, always punctual and never flustered. I saw a woman walking down the street in a sunshine-yellow skirt like this today and it looked like summer.

Working on the December issue of the magazine I work at has me longing for summer! One of my favourite things about a Kiwi Christmas is the chance to celebrate festive occasions with dinner outside in the sun, fresh citrus cocktails, and devouring a bowl of cherries. Although I have to admit, a white Christmas is definitely on my wish list one day. Here are a few things which I'm looking forward to savouring this summer holidays.

A new beginning

Hi there! I haven't forgot my amazing readers, I promise. This week I started an exciting new job as a feature writer at one of New Zealand's leading women's magazines and so have had little time to blog. My husband has also been using our laptop, as he's studying for university finals, so I've had little chance to check the blog and update it. Polka Dots

I can still remember when I first fell in love with first polka dots. It was a mint green T’shirt with delicate puffedsleeves, a scoop neckline and a scattering of tiny white polka dots. Thatsummer I barely took it off and wore it proudly with denim shorts or capri pants, with sandals and my long hair twisted back from my face. With polka dots recent return to the spotlight I've updated my look with this navyand white scarf from Glassons, which I've been wearing with this chunky camel knit.

Lemon Sago

One of my favourite childhood food memoriesis of my dad making lemon sago for dessert during the hot summer months. Evennow, a teaspoon of this zesty, refreshing dessert takes me back to my childhoodand the dinning table battles as my siblings and I squabbled for the coveted lastpiece. What was your favourite childhood dessert?

1/3 cup sago

4 cups water

Pinch of salt

2 tbsp brown sugar

Rind of 1 lemon

2 tbsp lemon juice

1 tbsp golden syrup

Place sago in a bowl and cover with 2 cups of water. Allow it to stand for 1 hour before draining the water. Place sago, the remaining water and salt in a saucepan and cook on medium heat. Stir constantly until sago comes to the boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 3 minutes, or until sago is soft and transparent. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Add lemon rind, lemon juice, brown sugar and golden syrup to the sago and mix well to combine. Spoon mixture into 4 bowls or glass jars. Cover each with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator overnight.

Cherry blossoms in old jam jars give the table at my birthday lunch a spring feel

This week Auckland has gone totally Rugby World Cup mad! I can barely walk a foot down the street without seeing an All Blacks flag, haka or a camera toting rugby-mad tourist. Last night I joined the crowds and headed down to Auckland's waterfront to see the spectacular opening ceremony fireworks and live music. To balance my sporty start to the weekend I'm attending a friend's baby shower today and plan to hunt down a much needed new handbag. Have a wonderful weekend!

NZFW: Walk The Line

Briar's winning NZFW look

Since I last spoke with student designer Briar Turner seen here she showed at NZFW's Walk The Line show and was subsequently awarded first prize in the high fashion category. I caught up with Briar post-show to talk about her winning look and last minute hitches.

How does it feel to have won first prize in the high fashion category at the 2011 WalkThe Line show?

I was verysurprised and excited to win first prize in the high fashion category! I wasnot expecting it. I went into the competition looking at it more asan experience being a part of Fashion Week, notas something that I was wanting to win. So it was just an addedhonour really.

What did you win?

For myprize I won a $250 voucher for Westfieldand an article in Print magazine.

How would you describe your winning design?

A cropped floaty top made of a wine coloured silk georgette,with short bell type sleeves and structured shoulder pads affixed withbronze detailing on them, and a chunky zip at the back. Paired with highwaisted shorts made of a vintage floral fabric with big scalloped edging at thebottom of the shorts.

Who were the judges?

There were guest designers asjudges and fashion industry representatives like Tina Moore, editor of Remix magazine and Julie Ralston, social media manager for New ZealandFashion Week.

What was the feedback from the media and audience?

Mysister Georgia was actually photographing the show and apparently the otherphotographers she was working with really enjoyed the winning look I had created. Theythought it was a mature and sophisticated design, so that was a greatcomplement for me! The audience also seemed to really love theoverall show as well.

Were there any last-minute hitches?

Mymodel and I planed to get her hair and makeup done as late as we could toensure it was fresh for the long wait and then finally the show...However this took longer then we planed so it was a little stressful,but thankfully we did finish in time to even do some last minuterunway practices and feel confident and ready for the show.

What went through your mind when you saw your designs comedown the runway?

Iwas really excited and very pleased with the overall look. It isa proud moment when you do see your own work come down a catwalk.

NZFW: WORLD

On Friday night I had the honour of a frontrow view as WORLD unveiled their Autumn/Winter 2012 collection Good vs Evil and the winner of NewZealand's Next Top Model cycle three was announced. WORLD's show was splitinto three stories. In Thus Spoke Zarathustra the models walked therunway in sci-fi inspired structured black suiting, with blue glow-in-the-darkdetailing, to Britney’s Oops I Did ItAgain. Next futuristic florals, fishtailed skirts, embroidered detailing andcolour blocking came together in The Future. The final story, A ModernOligarchy, sawa modern day princess sashay down the catwalk in a red faux fur jacket,complete with a Louis XIV sun king inspired headdress. Atthe end of the show Brigette Thomas (above) was named New Zealand's Next Top Model, a beautifuland well deserving winner, which wrapped up an amazing evening.

On the eve of her New Zealand Fashion Week Walk The Line show student designer Briar Turner sat down with me to talk about her inspiration, dreams for the future and those last minute nerves.

This is the second year you have shown at New Zealand Fashion Week's Walk The Line show, how does it feel to be back?

It's really great to be in Walk The Line again this year. I'm really excited as the show is double the size and I'm very happy with my garments I'm showing. It is really amazing to be a part of Fashion Week in this way and with so many other young designers.

Why did you decide to enter the Walk The Line competition?

I did it last year, so this year it was a no-brainer in entering. It is such a great show to be involved in with a lot of hype and energy in it. I was also very keen to show some designs I have been working on and having the opportunity to show them at Fashion Week is a definite incentive.

Any nerves?

I am a little nervous, yes! Mostly because I have not yet finished the garments. And also because it is a big opportunity for me.

Tell me about what inspired the pieces you will be showing this year?

My inspiration for my garments came from looking at children's story book that I loved as a child. Observing the innocence that is shown through clothing was really interesting for me. So I decided to design an outfit that brings the innocence of children's book characters into womenswear garments with a little edge added. Images from books such as Peter Rabbit were among others on my mood boards.

What attracted you to a career in fashion design?

Ever since I can remember I have always wanted to have a career in fashion. I love the creativity of it and the endless possibilities in designing. Sewing was something I did not enjoy as much when I was younger but I have really grown to love it too. Also the world of fashion is really appealing to me, not only the glamour of it, but also the process that goes on and hard work leading up to a final collection being shown.

Where would you like to see yourself in five years time?

In five years time I would be in my final year out of university, so I would love to either be working with another designer and learning from them, or starting to get myself up and running with my own label. But I really don't know how it will all pan out. I'm excited to see where everything takes me and I'm keen to take any opportunities that come my way.

Who would you love to see wearing your clothes?

I really haven't thought this far ahead! But I definitely would love to see people just on the streets of little old Auckland wearing my clothing, someone that loves wearing feminine but artistic garments. Also seeing them being sold and worn internationally would be amazing. And if I really wanted to dream big: Leighton Meester, Emma Roberts, Alexa Chung, Lauren Conrad, or Olivia Palermo.

Who are your favourite fashion designers?

Within New Zealand I love Lonely Hearts, Twenty-Seven Names, Ruby, Karen Walker, and Annah Stretton to name a few. They all have a beautiful feminine quality to there designs. Internationally Chloe, as they have such a wonderful way of using colour and always seem to have an elegant simplicity in their clothing. Balmain as there is always a sexy toughness and rich detailing. Marc Jacobs for his ever classy designs. Balenciaga for the intricacy in their designs. The Row for their edginess and Alexander Wang for the casual simplicity of his work.

What's one item every women should buy this spring?

A floaty dress or top, in pale washy colours, with a little lace or a pretty floral pattern. A garment that is fun to wear and that gives you that feeling that summer is coming.

One of my favourite beauty looks from New Zealand Fashion Week was seen at Jimmy D's Winter 2012 It's A Kind Of Magick show. I loved the wavy side-swept hair and skinny braids, which were created by the talented Fudge team, while the MAC team sent down the runway intricate henna tattoo inspired eye makeup. What do you think, a winner or one look you won't be trying?

NZFW: Ingrid Starnes

New Zealand Fashion Week kicks off at Auckland's sparkling new Viaduct Event Centre today! Sadly I'll only be able to make it to a few shows this year because of work commitments. However, I'll be keeping a close eye on what the designers send down the runway and promise to bring together my favourite looks here. This year my sister Georgi Turner is also covering Fashion Week as a photographer and will be blogging about the shows, hallowed front row and behind-the-scenes at Georgi Turner Photography. Make sure to check out her new site!

The first designer to show was Ingrid Starnes, whomade her New Zealand Fashion Week debut with Arcadia. Her collection was full of ladylike dresses, flirty shorts, cardigans, fur stoles, sweet rompers, and loosely belted trousers andskirts. The colour palette was predominantly muted shades of green, navy, beige and mustard with a few welcoming shots of raspberry, orange, and cobalt blue. My favourite pieces from thecollection were the mustard and gold print dress and beautiful vintage inspired lace slips, too pretty to only be worn at home.

Look Book: The Little Black Dress

I've got to admit I'm a sucker for a LBD and picked up this dress from Wild Pair a few weeks ago for a friend's birthday party. Since then I've paired it with these purple heels for an art opening and seen here for Sunday lunch at my parents. It has an uneven hem which I'm not too sure off, so I looped it up and tucked it into my belt. Come summer I'll be wearing this sheer dress with sandals and chunky gold jewelry for post beach drinks.

WORLD Made Me Do It - The Inspiration

World New Zealand Fashion Week 2010 Photo/ Fashionz

The second behind-the-scenes film of the WORLD Made Me Do It collection for Number One Shoes has been released. WORLD designer Francis Hooper says the inspiration for the Summer 11/12 collection comes from fashion. “It’s all about visuals. So what we did is we gave each character its own board that became a shoe. So we started with actually an iconic woman and each shoe is based on that iconic woman and we created a character around it.” The collection will be unveiled at WORLD’s New Zealand Fashion Week show on September 2. Topshop To Open In Melbourne This December

It's the end of a wonderful week! Having Wednesday off work for my birthday was amazing and made the working week shorter and all the sweeter. My husband spoiled me on my birthday with a lazy day at one of our favourite cafes, gifts and then dinner at Hotel De Brett before we went and saw the Bill Cunningham film. Has anyone seen it? Come August 30 I'll be wishing I was camped outside a Marcy's store in the US, waiting for Karl Lagerfeld's collection for Marcy's to arrive in stores the next day. The 45 piece collection, priced from $50-$170 US, includes tailored and flirty day dresses, casual weekend tanks, separates and coats. It's all very Karl from the black dress (above) with its starches high white collar (my favourite piece from the collection) to the quirky self portrait illustrated tops. I also like the skinny leather pants, sheer plum blouse, and silky patterned head scarf. However, I was disappointed by the faux leather jackets, patterned dresses and sleeveless turtleneck tops. A few days ago I was browsing through a rack of sweaters in one of my favourite stores and noticed a cute pair of glittery ballet flats on a table nearby. The only thing wrong was they were meant for a 5 month old baby rather than my 8 1/2 sized feet! But these Miu Miu Glitter and Suede Peep-Toe Ankle Boots are more my size and equally gorgeous. Last week I attended the opening of Damien Hirst's The Dead And The Souls exhibition at the Gow Langsford Gallery in Auckland. My favourite work was a collection of about 30 individual metallic butterflies and skulls which were grouped together in a perfect grid. It looked so exquisite that I'll be back for another peek before the exhibition wraps on August 27.

With Barcelona only three hours away from Valencia it seemed silly to miss out on seeing the city and Gaudi's Sagrada Familia. Walking in the door of the church and starring up at the ethereal ceiling and soaring pillars stopped me in my tracks. It was beautiful and so much better then all the photos I remember studying in art history class at school. We took the lift up one of the towers for a view of the city far below and later soaked up the sun and local music in Park Guell. A perfect day...

It was sad saying goodbye to my brother at the end of our four days in London, which you can read about here. But I quickly fell in love with Valencia's Renaissance and Baroque style architecture, little sidewalk tapas bars and icy sangria. One of my favourite mornings was spent escaping the 35C plus degree heat in the bustling indoor Mercado Central food market. The market was full of locals buying and selling a range of meat, fish, fruit, vegetables and the most beautiful artisan breads and pastries. A real feast for the senses. London Town

I'm back! It feels wonderful to be home and be able to see friends and family again. Although I have to admit I miss the cafe au lait and pain au chocolate which I had every morning in Paris!

Over the next few weeks I thought I'd share a few photos of our amazing trip which took us to London, Valencia, Barcelona and Paris. In the English capital we caught up with my brother who lives there, saw Buckingham Palace, the Tate Modern and National Galleries, shopped on Oxford St, marveled at Westminster Abbey and I even saw Prince Charles and Camilla as they drove by! I loved the beautiful architecture, culture and friendly English people we met and hope to return again soon.

For the last week I've been enjoying the 30 degree plus heat in Valencia Spain, which has been an amazing break from Auckland's winter chill. Garance Dore And Elle Magazine

I've been a big fan of photographer, blogger and illustrator Garance Dore since I first started blogging back in 2009 as seen here. So you can imagine my excitement when I was browsing the magazine section of WHSmith in Gatwick airport, about to fly to Valencia, and saw that Elle magazine was doing a free gift with purchase promotion. Now I am a sucker for freebies so hurried over and found it was an illustrated tank top. Not just any tank top, but one with one of Garance's quirky illustration on it. It will go perfectly tucked into my mustard gold skirt seen here.

Just a quick note from London with a few photos of our trip so far. I originally wasn't planning on blogging while I was away. But I missed you all so much and managed to find an internet connection at the apartment we're staying at. Our time in London was amazing! Seeing up close all the Palaces, historic sites and works of art that I've read about for years was at times almost surreal. Buckingham Palace was beautiful and we were lucky enough to see it on one of London's famous sunny days. We're next off to Valencia, Spain and its 30 plus degree heat. I can't wait! I'm Leaving On A Jet Plane

Happy weekend all! This is my last blog post before I head off to Europe tomorrow for three weeks. I'm looking forward to sharing all my adventures and photos with you when I return in a few weeks time. This weekend I've been finalising travel details and trying to stop myself from packing my entire wardrobe into my red suitcase. My husband loves to joke that I always 'pack everything including the kitchen sink' and it's sadly true. But, this time I'm determined to stick with a less is more philosophy and resist packing all those 'just in case I need them' outfits and impractical shoes. Happy next three weeks!

I can't wait to leave behind Auckland's rainy and freezing weather for 25C degree heat and Europe's golden summer. Dare To Shoot Dress

Standing in line at a bustling cafe one autumn weekday fashion designer Katie Coleman's eyes twinkle as describes her latest collection Bonnie Be Good. The bubbly 20-something designer of Katie-Maree Cole recently unveiled a capsule collection inspired by the classic film Bonnie And Clyde at an intimate brick venue in Auckland. Guests perched on the edge of rustic wooden chairs as models sashayed past in a swirl of colour including burnt orange, fruscia, and berry. I sat down after the show with Katie to discover her plans for the future and why she prefers to work with natural materials.

What inspired your winter collection Bonnie Be Good?
The movie Bonnie And Clyde and Bonnie's ability to look immaculate while robbing a bank.

What is your favourite piece from the collection and why?
That is a really hard question. I have been getting so much wear out of all the pieces, I don't think I can answer it.

How would you describe the Katie-Maree Cole woman?

A woman who is playful with her dressing style, who loves colour, pattern and texture. And who looks for pieces that are easy to wear and values New Zealand made products and quality fabrics.

As a designer how important is it to work with natural materials?
I just want to make quality garments and natural fabrics are the way to go. They will give you years and years [of wear]. I have garments that my mum bought when she was in her 20's of the most beautiful cotton prints and thick wools and they still look as if I just bought them yesterday. I want to create a story that is timeless and garments that hold memories and can be passed down to daughters and sisters. I am very romantic about the whole thing.

What attracted you to a career as a fashion designer?
I just love beautiful things. My heart skips a beat at creating garments that make women feel a million dollars.

You recently showed at ID Dunedin Fashion Week what was the highlight of that experience?
I think really being chosen to show at an event that I attended as a student was amazing. It was a milestone to see that I was really making progress.

What are your plans for showing at New Zealand Fashion Week later this year?
I am applying to show at the New Generation show so fingers crossed I get selected.

Where would you like to see Katie-Maree Cole in five years time?
I would like to have my own store in Auckland and also be exporting to Australia, Japan and the UK. A lot of my website orders are from overseas as I think that New Zealanders are a bit shy when it comes to colour and dressing up.

Who would you like to see wearing your clothes?
To see Kimbra wearing one of my dresses in her video would be amazing. I have some pieces in the Summer 2011/12 range that would look incredible on her. Overseas I love Audrey Tautou, Diane Kruger and Zooey Deschanel.

The Velvet lover pants (above), they are an amazing fit and super comfortable. They will take you anywhere.

What can we expect to see in your upcoming summer collection?

What To Wear When Traveling

I'm counting down to my holiday and starting to plan what I'll pack for a three weeks in London, Paris and Spain. I've heard so many horror stories of friends arriving, after traveling halfway around the world, to discover they forgot that special dress or pair of sandals. So I'm hoping the same thing won't happen to me. As well as forgetting to pack the essentials it's equally horrible to arrive looking like a crinkled mess. I've put together an easy to wear layered look for the plane, with a simple colour scheme of navy, black, cream and brown. I've also included extras to make the flight more comfortable such as a scarf, which can double as a blanket, baggage tag, eye mask and magazines. What's your favourite travel tip?

Detail of the black and white dress I wore to the ballet

Last night I had the treat of attending the Royal New Zealand Ballet's Stravinsky Selection performance. I've been fascinated with the drama and beauty of dance ever since I put on my first pair of blush pink ballet shoes aged eight. The dancers performance was thrilling, their technique and grace always amazes me, and Karen Walker's bright coloured navy, grey and orange costumes a refreshing change from the classic tutu. This week I also had a major cover story on New Zealand's Next Top Model's future and a behind-the-scenes look at the show's auditions published. Anve Paper Bag Clutch

Don't you love when a shop owner offers to place your new purchase in a crisp paper bag rather then a plastic one? There's just something about the look of a paper bag that wins every time, as well as being a great recyclable option. Anve's Saco De Papel 'paper bags' look almost exactly the same as a brown paper grocery bag, complete with folded detailing on the bottom, except they're made from a soft leather. The clutches come in a wide range of colours, but I can't seem to get past the traditional faded brown leather and matte grey lambskin bags.

Strawberry Thumbprint Cookies

While its still six months till Christmas, in my book holiday cookies are meant to be enjoyed year round. These Martha Stewart thumb print cookies are incredibly simple to make and can easily be adapted with spices, nuts and chocolate to make other flavour combinations. I chose to make a spice dough and filled each with strawberry jam, but I'm keen to try a chocolate ganache or apricot jam filling next time. The dough makes about 48 cookies and is best enjoyed with a hot drink or glass of milk as they have a shortbread like texture.

3 cups of flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp all spice
1/2 tsp of salt
250g butter
1 cup of sugar
1 large egg
2 tsp vanilla extract

Whisk together flour, baking powder, salt and spices in a large bowl. If you want to make a vanilla dough then feel free to exclude the spices. Beat butter and sugar with a mixer on medium-high speed until pale and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Reduce speed to low. Add flour mixture, and beat until combined. Roll dough into balls and place on a baking paper lined tray, spacing each 1inch apart. Press a well into the centre of each ball using your finger or the circular handle end of a wooden spoon. Refrigerate the cookies for about 30 minutes. Bake at 180C for 7 minutes. Remove from oven and press well again with finger or handle end of a spoon. Return to oven and bake for 5 minutes more. Remove from oven and let cookies cool before spooning jam into the middle of each cookie.

This evening I went to the opening of the photography exhibition Arcade by Allan McDonald in Auckland city. Allan's collection of photos explores the disappearing phenomenon of second-hand shops and is definitely worth seeing. As many of you will know one of my favourite things is to spend a morning browsing through quaint second-hand stores in search of that unique outfit, accessory, piece for the house or gift. Empty Handed

This afternoon I dropped by the Bread And Butter Letter to look over the newly arrived winter knits, coats, parkas and scarfs. I ended up coming away empty handed after a good half hour of rummaging but had a hard time resisting the knitted bow necklaces, typewriter key and scrabble letters rings and colourful handmade diaries. I'm trying to be good and save up for our upcoming holiday. I figure if I save now it means have a little more to spend on a Zara or Topshop mini shopping spree or coffee in Paris.

After a lovely relaxing weekend seeing friends and leafing my way through a stack of magazines (I'm currently a little obsessed with Martha Stewart's recipes) I was ready to return to the whirlwind of media for another week. This cream shirt, which I discovered a few weeks back at The Bread And Butter Letter, also helped give an extra boost. I know I've mentioned it a few times before but it's quickly become such a favourite that I've even found myself wearing it three days in a row a few times (washed overnight in between of course!). For work I like tucking it into a sleek pencil or pleated skirt with gold accessories and heels, or pair it back with worn denim and grey boat shoes on the weekend.
